Bio and Contact info

terryprofileSo, about me…….. I am Terry de la Vega and I became an RN in 1981 because I felt a passion for women’s health. I expanded my role as a healer by becoming an Adult Nurse Practioner in 1987. I have over 30 years of clinical experience, primarily in women’s health. I live in Potsdam, New York.

As time went on, I wanted to explore the deeper aspects of health and healing. In 1998, I became a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher. I love how yoga shows us that the body, mind, and spirit are one. Doing yoga creates unity and wholeness leading to inner peace and connection with the divine.

I have taught general yoga, as well as specialized classes. I especially enjoy teaching Yoga for Pregnancy and Childbirth Preparation, Yoga for Addiction and Recovery, Yoga for Stress Reduction, Gentle Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Chair Yoga.

In 2013 I was delighted to become a Certified YogaNurse®. This brand new specialty is a wonderful opportunity for me to combine my nursing and yoga expertise. It is an honor to be able to help people transform stress, anxiety, pain, and suffering into peace, health, and wisdom. I teach simple, easy, feel good, experiential remedies everyone can do, beginning with: Sacred Breath, Sacred Movement, and Sacred Rest.

August 2015 brought to fruition a dream of many years when Trillium Center For Yoga and Health was born. Located in downtown Potsdam, NY, Trillium offers a variety of yoga classes, Tai Chi, fitness classes, acupuncture, massage therapy, Reiki, mental health counseling,  spiritual counseling, and yoga therapy.
